Forbes has published a list of the 100 most powerful women in the world.

In the first place is the philanthropist Mackenzie Scott.

Nothing illustrates the dynamics of this list more than change at the very top. For the third time in all the 18 years that Forbes USA has compiled it, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is not ranked number one. With her inevitable departure from public office, there is a chance to find a new # 1; in 2021, the honor went to billionaire and philanthropist Mackenzie Scott. She ranks only third on the list of the richest women in the world, but her unlimited access to money and the determination to donate it to charity, achieving meaningful change, puts her above the competition. “We're trying to give away the fortune that was made from the system in need of change,” Scott said.

Immediately behind her, in second place, is US Vice President Kamala Harris, who, after taking office, has risen one position.

We would like to focus on the women from the music industry who entered the ranking this year. Among the most powerful and wealthy we see Rihanna, (No.68), Beyoncé Knowles (No. 76) and Taylor Swift (No.78).
